Fresh Pond Tea Company is a tea importer, retailer and wholesaler of fine teas based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We curate some of the world’s finest blended, organic teas and botanicals. Our teas are carefully selected directly from growers, each one offering a unique story, curated with love; Amorte'.
The trade name Fresh Pond Tea Company was inspired by the world famous Fresh Pond Reservoir located in the West Cambridge, Massachusetts neighborhood where I, the founder of Fresh Pond Tea Company, Marcus Johnson-Smith, spent my childhood. The seeds that formed the foundation of Fresh Pond Tea Company however were first planted in 2008 when I visited the West African country of Ghana during a college study abroad trip.
Through my travels in The Caribbean, Africa, Europe and beyond, I've developed close relationships with farmers and distributors from all over, building an extensive network of tea producers and suppliers who love tea as much as I do. These personal relationships, a hallmark of Fresh Pond Tea Company, make possible the offering of top tier teas while ensuring that all members across the production ecosystem are supported at the highest level and compensated with dignity and respect.
Our every changing menu of teas are sourced from all over the world. Most notably is the exclusive relationships we have with celebrated tea gardens across Assam, Darjeeling, the northeast of India, Bihar, Kangra, Nepal, and China. This allows us to boast a competitive level of flavorful tea, with such as Award Winning teas in our menu: Doke Green Diamond and Doke Black Fusion.
By sourcing our tea directly from some of the best tea gardens across the world, we are able to cut out the middle man and demand the quality customers love. This also reduces the delivery turnaround time, increasing the level of freshness we can provide our clients.
